The 60s and 70s

Platforms brought about a renewed demand for bespoke boots during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Some of our most well-known projects have been worn by celebrities including the white boots worn by Engelbert Humperdinck, the famous silver platform boots worn by Dave Hill from Slade, and the Bee Gees. The fashion for platform boots started in the UK and during this time we were approached by Andy, the owner of the infamous Jumping Jack Flash store on East 59th Street, New York to start making stock boots for his store.
